Life In 3D – out now!

Oh…Hello hello,

This update is long overdue, but I’ve been meaning to let everyone know what has been going on with me…if you care. For the last five months I have been working on my debut production album, “Life In 3D”! The album has now been out for a little more than a month and has been creating quite the buzz. It has been played in local clubs and people seem to love it, which I am extremely grateful of. The debut single off the album is called “Crazy Chick” so listen to it today and show all of your friends. Make sure to purchase your own copy on iTunes today, or if you want a hard copy, please contact me and you can purchase it that way.

On December 3^rd, I competed in the Red Bull Big Tune national producer competition in New York City, and made it to the semi-finals. I met a lot of industry people while in New York, including Sha Money XL, Dre McKenzie and Tony G of G-Unit Records. I was able to give out many copies of “Life In 3D” to people in New York, including industry people, so I have a feeling something will definitely come out of the whole trip. It was a great learning experience, and if I do choose to compete again next year, watch out!! Also, a film crew followed all of us producers around for the whole week when we were living in a loft in New York City before the competition and there is going to be an exposé on BET in February on the whole Big Tune event, so make sure to check that out because its going to be huge exposure for me.

What’s going on people,

I just wanted to tell everyone that I have decided to have another remix contest for artists! If you want a track of yours remixed by Hitmakers Productions, please submit the full track as well as the acapella version on mp3 to: hitmakerspro@gmail.com and I will review all the entries and pick a winner at the end of June. The winner will get their submitted track remixed by me! I have done this the past two summers and it has been pretty succesful, so I am looking forward to doing it again!

Mixtape Project: Looking for rappers and singers!

Making a hip-hop track

I just got back from a trip out of state and decided to post a new video of me in the studio! I have a few things in the works right now and I will tell everyone once everything is solidified and everything is set. All I can say is that I feel that this year is going to be big!

That’s right! I’m currently working on a remix album that will be up on iTunes by the end of this summer! I have a remix that I did for Lloyd’s “Get It Shawty” which I have put up on my myspace! Lets get this started…

I decided to start a blog site to document what is going on with us, Hitmakers Productions! Two nights ago, I decided to do a remix of Cassie’s single “Me & U”! If you haven’t had the opportunity to listen to it, you should check it out – maybe add it to your myspace?? =) Anyways, I will be putting up a ‘Making of: Me & U (Remix)’ video up soon. We are in the process of editing the footage! As this is the first blog, I think it is only appropriate to introduce myself. I’ve been producing music for about 5 years now, under the name Malek.
